*Note: Exact gas displacement is a function of the free volume of the connecting tubing and the reaction vessel used. The difference between the 1/2 pt. jar and the SS reaction vessel is 1.53% at full scale; i.e. it requires 242.1 cc to reach 100 GU when using the 460 cc capacity SS vessels vs. 238.4cc in the glass 1/2 pt. jar. Therefor it is important to calibrate the instrument with the vessel with which it is to be used if accurate conversion to cc is required.
